Exploring the Coral Reef's Twilight Zone

Coral reefs are one of the most iconic, diverse, and threatened ecosystems on Earth, yet, the deeper portions of this habitat, which correspond to as much as two thirds of it, remain largely unexplored and unprotected. The Academy has a highly trained and experienced team of scientists and technical rebreather divers that are comprehensively exploring these deeper reefs for the first time.
