During a tidepool survey earlier this June, the Academy's citizen science team encountered a rare find. Wedged between the rocks of the intertidal zone lay the speckled head of a wolf eel, and the fish wore a grin of mystery: bright, pink teeth. Follow the team as they search for clues by consulting the Academy’s research collections and a community rich with local knowledge and scientific expertise. Every observation of the environment—photos of life both big and small—helps scientists keep a pulse on the planet.
