Dear Cal Academy Team (like, everyone),
I miss going to Cal Academy more regularly. As someone born and raised in San Francisco, it was (and remains) one of my favorite places to go (not just to learn about the world and all of the incredible animals, but also) to learn how to care for myself, my loved ones, and the planet. You might be wondering or asking how? Well, it's the way everyone pulls together to create an experience that encourages me to ask questions, be curious, and learn how to do my part to love and respect the planet by learning as much as possible about its inhabitants. From the facilities crew to the docents and tour guides to the scientists to guest services, I miss it all and love how you all take care of the ecosystem that is Cal Academy so that we learn how to take care of all of the other ecosystems outside of it. Sending you all love and I need to visit soon!

Dear Sea Dragons,
I never visit the Academy without stopping by your beautiful home to say hello and see how you are doing. The closure was hard for everyone, and I'm sure it was hard for you as well. Watching you floating so gracefully in your tank, peering out at the guests, is something I have sorely missed. Can't wait to see you again!! P.S. Thank you to the dedicated staff who ensure the health, safety, and comfort of all the animals at the Academy, and especially for those who care for my wonderful Sea Dragons!
