Share in the rich culture, art, and stories of Falaṡṭīn (Palestine) at an event crafted by the community, for the community. Join us for an evening of meaningful celebration exploring artistic expression and culture through the lens of Palestinian artists. Dance to Palestinian music, hear from powerful poets, explore pop-up art exhibits, browse a local marketplace of handmade creations, and more.

This is a peaceful event, and no hate or discrimination will be tolerated.

Featured events:

  • Hit the dance floor with SF-based artist and activist, DJ Subeaux, who will be spinning tracks from Palestinian artists mixed with your favorite hits all night long.
  • See work from Bay Area artist Amanne Sharif at a pop-up exhibit of the intricate Palestinian embroidery technique of tatreez. Explore a selection of Sharif’s works, which showcase the detailed geometric and natural motifs traditionally stitched onto clothing and household items, and dive into the rich history of this centuries-old tradition.
  • Explore a pop-up photography and art exhibit curated by interdisciplinary artist Linda Abdullah, showcasing the flora and fauna of Palestine and examining the lasting impacts of ecocide.
  • Join poets Priscilla Wathington and Janine Mogannam as they share readings inspired by their personal experiences, heritage, and family.
  • Experience the lively beats of the ancient, Palestinian folk dance, dabke, with performances by Oakland-based dance group, Al-Juthoor. Watch the pros in action, then jump in and give dabke a try yourself in a live line dancing workshop.
  • Gather ‘round for an intimate conversation with renowned fashion designer and Project Runway season four alum Rami Kashou. Hear about his design journey and learn how his roots shape his creative process.
  • Support local Palestinian artists by shopping a marketplace of handmade goods, from zines to ceramics. Say hello to:
